Subject: According to the Advocate General, making the funding of a full course of studies in another Member State dependent on three years uninterrupted residence in the funding Member State immediately prior to starting those studies is a restriction of the right to free movement of EU citizens. The Advocate general affirmed that the Court should clarify its case-law on what objectives are capable of justifying a restriction on the right of freedom of movement.
