Subject: The Article 29 Data Protection Working Party, having clarified that the aim of the body scanner is to identify objects and not to capture images of the body, affirmed that its compatibility with the Charter, the ECHR and the Directive 95/46/EC has to be evaluated. The Working Party however concluded that there has been no evidence presented to date to show why scanner body is necessary.
